Rapid Blend Unitise Wheels are used for light deburring and blending of metals, plastics and composites. With a fine Silicon Carbide grain and flexible density, it allows for a smooth controlled experience.

Unitised wheels are made from compressed and bonded layers of non-woven abrasive for maintenance operations where an efficient, cost-effective solution is needed for deburring, polishing, cleaning and finishing composites.
The uniform construction maintains part tolerance and prevents cutting and gouging. Rapid Blend can be used on a variety of shapes and contours; wheels hold their shape well and don’t need to be dressed as often. Wheels are also non-metallic so won’t contaminate the workpiece.

Grain Types

NEX Unitised Wheels are available in both aluminium oxide (A), a more durable, longer lasting abrasive which gives a more aggressive cut, and silicon carbide (S) which leaves a fine/brighter scratch pattern and provides a reduced cut rate for better finishes and form holding.

Densities

These wheels are available in multiple web densities, ranging from a cool-cutting, very conformable open structure density of 2-4, while 6 suits light deburring and a dense 8 is a good starting point for deburring, blending, polishing and finishing.

Grades

Available in medium (M), for a faster cut, and fine (F) for a reduced cut rate but superior finish.
