Description

Convolute wheels are formed by wrapping non-woven web material around a centre core and bonding the layers together to create an abrasive wheel. Wheels are available in different diameters, grades and densities for burr, flash and rust removal, reducing surface roughness, blending welds and scratch patterns on stainless steel, polishing welds and applying decorative finishes.

? Ideal starting point for general deburring, blending, finishing and polishing applications.
? Durable, long-life construction with versatile application range, consistent cut rate and shed resistance.
? Smear proof and cool cutting on light deburring applications.
? Substantial extended wheel life in a soft, conformable wheel.
? For general deburring, blending and finishing on metals, wood and glass.
? Clean Bond TM resin technology prevents smearing and loading, even on soft metals.
? Wheels have 10%-30% longer life and finish faster thanks to the new grain/bond configuration, reducing the need for wheel changes and increasing productivity.
? Wheels can be used wet or dry.

Grain Types

Series 1000 wheels are available in both aluminium oxide (A), a more durable, longer lasting abrasive which gives a more aggressive cut, and silicon carbide (S) which leaves a fine/brighter scratch pattern and provides a reduced cut rate for better finishes and form holding.

Densities

These wheels are available in multiple web densities, ranging from a cool-cutting open structure density of 7, while 8 suits light deburring and a dense 9 is a good starting point for deburring, blending, polishing and finishing.

Grades

Available in medium (M), for a faster cut, and fine (F) for a reduced cut rate but superior finish.
