Description

The Dynabrade 48531 3? (76 mm) Dia. Right Angle Disc Sander is an industrial tool with low vibration levels (3.4 m/sec? according to Dynabrade’s tests under the ISO 28927-3 standard) and an extended rear muffler for improved noise reduction. It also has an ergonomic design and weighs in at only 0.54kg, all of which make it easy and comfortable for the operator to use for long periods of time.

The sander is supplied with a roloc-type backing pad (also known as ‘TR’, ‘SL2’, ‘siafix’, ‘speedlok’, locking-type or quick-release) which enables the use of our diverse range of high-quality roloc discs. These include Turbo Zirconia or the high-performance Nitro Fast-Cut Ceramic for working on mild/carbon steel, cast iron and nickel or titanium alloys.

For working on stainless steel or titanium we also offer a number of materials with a cooling topsize, which minimises the heat generated by the disc when grinding and therefore reduces burning or discoloration of the workpiece. These include the heavy-duty Green Nitro Zirconia, as well as our popular Green Nitro Ceramic, and for very high-performance requirements we also have the Red Nitro Ceramic. For working on softer metals such as aluminium the White Nitro Ceramic would offer the best performance, with a stearate coating that reduces clogging/loading and maximises the life of the disc.

For applications which require a higher level of finish or scratch pattern (and little to no stock removal) we have available the Turbo Surface Conditioning Discs (also in Nitro for more heavy-duty jobs) which are often known as “scotchbrite”, and for rust or paint removal we would suggest the Turbo-Strip.
