Aluminium Oxide Narrow Belts
The dependable all-rounder for wood, non-ferrous metals and general shop work. Good value, consistent finish, wide grit coverage.
Best for: soft & hard woods, aluminium/brass clean-ups, edge breaking, pre-finish passes.
Grit ladder: 60 → 80 → 120 → 150/180 (refine as needed). Start at 36–40 only for heavier removal.
Tip: Let the belt cut. Excess pressure shortens life and worsens finish.

Zirconia Narrow Belts
Cooler, longer grinding on steels and tougher materials. Ideal for heavier stock removal with portable sanders and linishers.
Best for: carbon/stainless steels, hard woods where loading/heat are issues.
Grit ladder: 36/40 → 60 → 80/100 (120 for finishing, else switch to AO).
Tip: Keep pressure moderate; let the self-sharpening grain refresh during the cut.

Ceramic Narrow Belts
Maximum cut on hard alloys and aggressive grinding. Use when removal rate matters more than cosmetic finish.
Best for: stainless, hard alloys, weld removal, edge shaping.

Tip: Maintain belt tracking and wheel condition — glazed edges kill ceramic performance.

Silicon Carbide Narrow Belts

Grit ladder: 80 → 120 → 240 → 400 → 600 (extend to 800/1000 where available).
Tip: Use light pressure and keep cool—SiC cuts fast but can fracture under heavy load.
