The webbing gives the abrasives a sponge-like structure allowing you to apply more or less force to vary the aggressiveness of the grinding action. The spring-like characteristic also enables the product to be used on an uneven/contoured surface while maintaining continual contact with the workpiece. Non-woven abrasives are not strong enough for heavy material removal. It is ideal for cleaning, finishing, blending, and deburring. The disc is held in place by a threaded attachment locking device.
