  5. Don’t forget to flush the trailer as well to ensure a complete clean.
  1. Use Polarshine® Marine Boat Wash to clean and prepare your boat’s surface.
  2. Dilute the product between 1:30 and 1:100, depending on the level of soiling. Apply the solution with a spray bottle.
  3. For stubborn dirt, use a scrub brush to boost the detergent’s cleaning power.
  4. Allow the detergent to neutralize the surface by leaving it on for 1 to 5 minutes. Then, rinse thoroughly with water.
  5. Dry the surface using a microfiber cloth.

Recommendation: If the surface is in poor condition, sanding is advised. For surfaces that are only faded, polishing alone will suffice.

Sanding is optional if the surface is in poor condition.

  1. Sand the surface using a Mirka® DEROS with Abralon® 2000 grit and water. Recommended speed: 6000–8000 RPM. Abralon® sands effectively as long as it produces a “foam” during sanding.
  2. Clean the surface between steps before switching to 4000 grit. This helps to extend the life of the sanding disc.
  3. Wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth to prepare it for polishing.

Polish on a dry surface.

  1. Use a Mirka® PS 1437 and a lambswool pad Pro.
  2. Apply Polarshine® 10 polish to the surface using the polishing pad. Recommended speed: 900–1100 RPM.
  3. For light-colored surfaces: Use Polarshine® 10 with a yellow lambswool pad Pro.
For dark surfaces: Follow up with Polarshine® 5 and a yellow waffle polishing foam pad to remove holograms.
  1. After polishing, wipe off any polishing residue with Polarshine® Marine Final Finish.
  2. Wet the surface and apply Polarshine® Marine Shield to the sponge and the area to be coated. NOTE! The surface must be moist.
  1. Let it work for a moment. You will notice when the coating starts to retract.
  2. Rinse off excess coating using a pressure washer.
  3. Dry the surface with a microfiber cloth.
  4. Allow the coating to cure for at least 12 hours (dry, at +5°C to +25°C).
  5. The coating provides protection for one boating season.
